A Transformative Journey with SPROUTX: Growing Our Sustainable Redclaw Aquaculture
For over 16 intensive weeks, the director of Barron River Redclaw and the Aquaponic Gardener participated in extensive mentorship training designed to help us grow our sustainable redclaw aquaculture, agtech, Indigenous partnerships, and aquaponics.
The SPROUTX program, known as the Business of Agriculture, offers a 16-week free hybrid curriculum that provides a solid entry into the Australian startup scene. This program is perfect for anyone, whether you are a tech-curious corporate employee, a STEM leader, an ambitious research student, an early-career entrepreneur, or simply someone with an undying drive to make a positive impact on the environment. It guides participants in creating sustainable solutions for agribusinesses, producers, and farmers.
Throughout the course, we learned how to develop novel technology solutions by following the program’s comprehensive course guide. Led by industry experts, experienced founders, investor networks, and entrepreneurial cohort peers, the program provided us with invaluable insights and practical skills.
We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity and have gained valuable insights into business maximizing farm production and opportunities. The knowledge and connections made during this program have been transformative, equipping us with the tools needed to take our sustainable redclaw aquaculture to new heights.
The SPROUTX pre-accelerator has not only strengthened our business but has also reinforced our commitment to innovation and sustainability. We look forward to applying what we have learned and continuing to grow our sustainable redclaw farm in ways that benefit both the environment and our community.
